THINGS TO

KNOW

When and where is your wedding?

Starting off with an easy one! Our wedding is Saturday 29th June 2024; however, we’re being greedy and making a whole weekend of it. The celebrations will start from 5pm Friday 28th June and end at 11am Sunday 30th June. Check out the weekend itinerary here.

The venue is a gorgeous little place called Relais Villa Giulia, in Fano, Italy. Please check and double check that you’re heading to the right one, and not the same named hotel in Rome… The address: Via di Villa Giulia, 61032 Fano PU, Italy.

What is the itinerary for the weekend?

Pints, pizza, pool, pasta and partying!

We have lots planned for the weekend, check it out day by day here.

Where can I stay?

Villa Giulia! The villa will be exclusively ours for the entire weekend. We’re asking guests to contribute towards their accommodation costs, which are £200 per person. The rest of the weekend is on us!

The great thing about our venue also being your hotel is that there’s no worries about us getting you home… and you can roll out of bed with a hangover and straight into the buffet breakfast the morning after!

Which airport is closest to the villa?

The two closest international airports are Bologna and Ancona.

Bologna Airport

BA flies to Bologna airport. It’s about 1.5 hours by car, and 2.5 hours by train.

Ancona Airport

easyJet and Ryanair fly to Ancona. It’s about 1 hour by car and 2 hours by train.

How can we get from the airport to the villa?

If you’re planning on exploring more of Italy before or after our wedding, you may consider renting a car. There’s plenty of parking available at the villa if you do this.

Here’s how to get to the villa if you’re using public transport:

Bologna airport

Jump on the Marconi Express at the airport, and take it 2 stops to Bologna Centrale. Here, you’ll switch platforms and can grab a 2 hour train to Pesaro station. It’s a short 10 minute taxi to the Villa from here. Have a look at TrenItalia to work out train times.

Ancona airport

This journey takes around an hour and a half by train. Have a look at TrenItalia to work out train times.

Will food be served?

Yes! We’re sorting all food and prosecco/ wine and beer for the weekend. If you would like anything outside of the included drinks, there will also be a bar for you to buy something different.

Is there a dress code?

Friday will be summer BBQ vibes! You’re welcome to join us in dressing up, but there’s no strict dress code.

For our wedding on the Saturday, we ask that you wear something colourful. Think linen suits and midi/maxi dresses! For the gents, trousers and jackets are the order of the day. Ties are optional.

We’ll be marrying as the sun goes down so it’ll thankfully be a little cooler and much more comfortable.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

All being well with the weather, our wedding will be entirely outside. The ceremony will be in the gardens, followed by dinner in the courtyard.

Will you be changing your names?

After a lot (A LOT) of debate, Sasha will be taking the Moore name.

^^^ and since writing that I’ve changed my mind again. I will be taking the Moore name, but I’m not going to drop mine. So, it’ll be Mr Moore and Mrs Betty-Moore.

What's the weather like in Fano?

The weather forecast is changing daily at the moment! Hopefully the rain will hold off, but regardless it should be warm.

Are debit cards accepted at the venue, or do I need cash?

Both cash and card are accepted at the venue but you hopefully shouldn’t need to.

Food and drink will be included for our wedding weekend: breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as local wines, beer and an open bar for our wedding evening. You’ll only have to buy anything that you may fancy outside of this!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

With such a small venue, we’ve carefully picked our guest list to include those who are our closest friends and family. Unfortunately, we don’t have any space for any plus ones.

Will you have a registry for gifts?

We are so grateful to you all for flying out to celebrate with us, as much as it sounds cliché, your presence really is the real present to us!

For those who are stubborn and would like to give a gift, we would be over the moon with a few pennies towards our honeymoon! Our registry can be found here.

I still have questions! What's the best way to get in touch?

Instagram, Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, SMS, shout across the house, send a letter via pigeon post. We’ve only invited our nearest and dearest to this shindig, so if you don’t have us on one of these platforms, please consider your invitation revoked.
